On Thursday evening, June 21st MEC Backcountry 101 will host special guest Phil Weir author of ‘End of the Portage’ where he will share his Algonquin Park experiences. His presentation will include topics such as backcountry preparedness, trip planning and flexibility, camping skills, solo tripping, safety, serendipity, crisis management, adaptability, keeping your spirits up, savouring the moments, and the many gifts of the river with a Q & A at the end.
